So, I just started watching Doctor Who</u> TV series. I was recommended the series through an online LJ comment conversation. It seemed relevant to my interests, so I decided to give it a go.

And boy, am I glad that I did.

I've watched only up to the third episode of the second season, but I adore the show so far. I wasn't so down with the whole sci-fi genre at first because it's not my usual turf, but I was very captivated by it by the time I finished a couple of episodes!

And it's strange because I've never tried a British TV program before. And it was weird hearing those accents. They say, "three" like "tree" and have this weird twist at certain vowels. It wasn't hard to understand the actors, though. That might be because I started getting into shows and movies from U.K., therefore getting used to the accents that are from outside the U.S. [Most of the foreign films are influence of Cillian Murphy.]

[Speaking of the country, does anyone know a proper term to describe the general region that includes the UK and the Republic of Ireland? I just realized that there are political division that actually make naming things complicated (well, at least for me) after watching The Wind That Shakes The Barley and I cannot figure out, for the life of me, what's what in that general area. Oh, great film, by the way.]

But going back to Doctor Who, I really like it. I mean, the fact that Doctor Nine is very handsome with that certain older men sort of charm that always make me flutter certainly helps, but plot-wise, I like it very much. The show is very addictive, and good enough to keep me from getting scared away by the fake alien-mask-costume=cosmetics-things. I usually hate those, but the series is good enough.

Though, I am a lot more attached to Doctor Nine [and hence Season 1] than I am to Doctor Ten [and hence Season 2 onwards]. I don't know, Doctor Nine was such a stud that it is really hard to readjust. Yes, Doctor Ten is certainly attractive, too, but I prefer Doctor Nine type. Well, that's it for now.
